SORA Rates, Week 41 2026 · 05 OCT – 09 OCT 2026
1. SORA Snapshot
3-month compounded SORA held steady this week at 1.23%. A 0bp move from 1.23% seven days ago. Day to day, the overnight rate ranged from 0.50% to 1.55% (05 OCT – 09 OCT 2026), which is normal short-term noise, not a signal by itself.
The 3-month figure is what actually reprices most mortgages, and it's the number to anchor on: 1M compounded stands at 1.29%, 6M at 1.18%.
For a $500,000 loan, this week's 0bp shift is worth about $0 more a month, illustrative but a useful gut check. 576 fresh condo/EC caveats came through in our data this week, averaging $2,182 psf.
2. Bank Rates We're Tracking
2 of the many banks we work with are giving these rates this week: HLF fixed at 1.95%; UOB at 3M SORA + 0.7%. Just examples of what's live right now.

3. Macro Context
The US Fed funds rate stood at 3.75% and the US 10-year Treasury yield at 4.99%. USD/SGD sat at 1.2728, worth watching alongside the rate story.
The mechanics matter here: SORA responds to SGD liquidity and MAS policy, the Fed's decisions are one input among several. When SORA and the Fed's stance are pointing in different directions, that divergence is the actual story, not a coincidence to skip past.
4. Ron's Read
Don't chase the daily print. The 3-month compounded figure is what matters for most homeowners deciding between fixed and floating this week. At 1.23%, the real decision isn't about the headline Fed news, it's about your own loan structure against where SORA actually sits right now.
Send me your current loan numbers and I'll run them against this week's actual rates, happy to tell you plainly whether it's worth refinancing or not.
